Garden Pea Hummus
Add a twist to the classic hummus recipe with our Organic Garden Peas, some cannellini beans and serve with crudités of your choice. Great for kids lunchboxes or summer picnics in the park.

225 grams Green Isle Garden Peas
1 x 400 g tin of cannellini or butter beans, drained
1 garlic clove
2 tablespoons tahini
Juice of ½ an lemon
Olive oil, for drizzling
Salt and black pepper
To serve
Crudites and pita breads
Method:
- Place the Green Isle Garden Peas into boiling water. Cover, bring back to the boil and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Drain and place into a large bowl of cold water then drain again and place 200 grams of them into a food processor, setting aside the remaining for later.
- Add the cannelini or butter beans, garlic clove, tahini and lemon juice to the blender along with a pinch of salt and pepper and blitz until completely smooth.
- Serve the hummus drizzled with olive oil and scattered with the remaining peas. Any leftovers will keep, covered, in the fridge for 2 – 3 days.
