Fighting Food Waste with FoodCloud
At Green Isle, we believe good food should never go to waste. That’s why we’re proud to support FoodCloud — an Irish social enterprise that helps ensure surplus food gets to families and individuals who need it most.
Since partnering with FoodCloud in March 2020, Green Isle Foods has donated over 25.8 tonnes of surplus food, the equivalent of 61,471 meals and a saving of 49.1 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
So far in 2024 and early 2025 alone, our contributions have helped provide over 4,300 meals to people across Ireland.
We’re proud to play a small part in FoodCloud’s incredible work supporting over 670 community groups — from food banks and meals on wheels to youth services and family supports. Together, we’re helping fight food waste and food insecurity — one meal at a time.
