FoodCloud Christmas Donation

As we near the end of 2021, we recognise that it has been a challenging year for many families and communities in Ireland.  And although Christmas is a very joyous time for most, it can be very difficult for others. With this in mind, Green Isle Foods are delighted to partner with Foodcloud as part of our Christmas charity initiatives. This year we are donating over 5,000 packs of frozen vegetables and potatoes which FoodCloud will redistribute to charities and local community organisations.

FoodCloud is a social enterprise with a mission to transform surplus food into opportunities to make the world a kinder place.  As part of our sustainability commitment to ensure no good food goes to waste, Green Isle Foods have been partnering with Foodcloud since March 2020. To date we have donated 7.6 tons of food which equates to approximately 18,095 meals. We hope our donation will help make a small difference for the people who need it most this Christmas.
