Results from our Transition Year Home Economics Recipe Challenge

 

The judge’s votes have been counted and verified, with a huge number of very talented students participating, it was a very difficult decision to make. Massive thank you to all our entrants of course there could only be 3 winners, so we were delighted to award first, second and third place to: 

1st Place

Lily Grace’s panna cotta from Kilkenny College winning €500 for her Home Economics Department

2nd Place

Emily Fahey’s curried baked cauliflower dahl from Friary College winning €300 for her Home Economics Department

3rd Place

Claire Griffin’s homemade vegan pea and spinach ravioli, chimichurri sauce and mixed vegetables, winning €200 for Skibbereen Community School Home Economics Department

We want to say a massive thank you to all the talented TY students for their delicious entries. Your recipes have inspired us on how we can all incorporate more fruit  and vegetables into our diets to help us reach our 5 a day. 

All those who entered received a certificate for their participation in our recipe challenge and some Green Isle aprons.
