Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry

Egg-fried noodles (as needed)
250g stir fry beef
½ bag of Green Isle Broccoli Florets
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons soy sauce
½ cup boiling water
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Sesame seeds (for garnish)
2 spring onions (sliced, for garnish)
Method:
- Prepare the sauce – In a bowl, mix the minced garlic, grated ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce, cornstarch, and boiling water. Stir well until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth.
- Cook the beef – Heat the sesame oil in a pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry for a few minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Add the sauce – Pour the prepared sauce into the pan with the beef, stirring to coat evenly. Let it simmer for a minute until slightly thickened.
- Add the broccoli – Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for another 5-6 minutes until they are tender yet still crisp.
- Serve – Place the egg-fried noodles in a serving bowl or plate, then top with the beef and broccoli mixture.
- Garnish and enjoy – Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced spring onions over the top for extra flavour and crunch. A quick, delicious, and flavourful stir-fry perfect for any night of the week!
