Pea Salad with Sour Cream Dressing
Light, creamy, and bursting with flavour, this Pea Salad with Sour Cream Dressing is a delicious way to enjoy Green Isle Garden Peas. Picked at their peak and frozen to lock in fresh taste and nutrients, our peas are naturally sweet, rich in fibre, and a great source of folic acid—making them a nutritious addition to any meal.
Paired with crispy bacon, feta, and a refreshing sour cream dressing, this salad is the perfect balance of savoury, sweet and crunchy. Add pomegranate seeds for a pop of colour and flavour, it’s a vibrant side dish that’s as easy to make as it is delicious!

½ bag of Green Isle Frozen Garden Peas
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon vinegar (white wine or apple cider)
100g bacon (cooked and chopped)
½ cup feta cheese (crumbled)
1 small red onion (finely diced)
2 cup peas (fresh or thawed if frozen)
Handful of fresh parsley or basil (chopped)
¼ cup pomegranate seeds
Method:
- Cook the peas - Add the peas to a saucepan of boiling water. Cover, bring back to the boil and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare the dressing – In a bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, and vinegar until smooth and well combined.
- Assemble the salad – In a large bowl, add the peas, chopped bacon, feta cheese, diced red onion, and chopped herbs. Toss gently to mix.
- Add the dressing – Pour the creamy dressing over the salad and stir until everything is evenly coated.
- Garnish and serve – Sprinkle with pomegranate seeds for a pop of colour and sweetness. Serve immediately or chill for 15 minutes to let the flavours meld. A refreshing and flavourful salad with a perfect balance of creamy, salty, and sweet!
