Ingredients
Green Isle Extra Crispy French fries
2 Sirloin steaks
300g Mushrooms
1 large onion
Butter to fry in
Parsley
Peppercorn sauce
Method:
- Preheat your air fryer to 200°C. Place the Green Isle Extra Crispy French Fries in the basket and cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure they crisp up evenly. The fries will turn golden and crunchy, providing the perfect base for your meal.
- While the fries are cooking, slice 300g of mushrooms and finely chop a large onion. In a heated pan, melt some butter and sauté the mushrooms and onions over medium heat until they are soft, golden, and caramelized, stirring occasionally for about 5-7 minutes. Cook the steak to your preferred temperature in a hot pan with butter (rare, medium, well done etc).
- In another hot pan, melt a little butter and cook the sirloin steak to your preferred doneness (rare, medium, or well done). For a medium steak, cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, depending on thickness. Adjust the time for your preferred level of doneness.
- Once the steak is cooked to your liking, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve the steak with the crispy fries on the side and spoon the sautéed mushrooms and onions over the top. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for added flavour.
- Drizzle or serve with a generous portion of creamy peppercorn sauce to complete this indulgent meal.
