This spaghetti with peas and bacon recipe is a deliciously simple midweek meal that combines crispy bacon lardons, fragrant garlic, and sweet Green Isle Garden Peas. Ready in less than 15 minutes. Our Garden Peas are packed with natural sweetness and frozen at their freshest to lock in nutrients, adding a vibrant colour and a burst of flavour to every bite. Perfectly balanced with a hint of butter and fresh basil, it’s a dish that’s as quick to make as it is satisfying to eat.

Ingredients
- 200g Green Isle Garden peas
- 400g spaghetti (100g per person)
- 200g bacon lardons
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- Fresh basil, to garnish
- Butter or olive oil, to taste
Method:
- Heat a pan and fry the bacon lardons until golden and crispy. Add the grated garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring to combine.
- In a large pot, boil salted water. If using fresh pasta, add the spaghetti and peas together, cooking for 3-4 minutes until tender. For dried pasta, cook for 7 minutes, then add the peas for the final 3 minutes.
- Strain the cooked pasta and peas, then return them to the pot.
- Stir in the bacon and garlic mixture, ensuring everything is evenly combined.
- Add a knob of butter or a drizzle of olive oil to coat the pasta. Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.
