Loaded Hash Brown Bites – Two Delicious Ways

Ingredients
Halloumi Loaded Hash Brown Bites
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (mixed white and black)
- ½ tsp chilli flakes
- 1 avocado, smashed
- 1 block halloumi, sliced
- A handful of fresh coriander, chopped
- 1 pack Green Isle Hash Brown Bites
Pizza Style Hash Brown Bites
- 200 ml marinara sauce
- 1 handful grated mozzarella
- 150 g mini pepperoni
- 1 pack Green Isle Hash Brown Bites
Method:
- Cook the hash browns: Preheat air fryer to 200°C. Place bites (500g) into the basket, do not fill the basket more than half full. Cook for 9-11 minutes or until crisp and golden, shake occasionally to ensure an even cook. Cooking times may vary with different makes/ models and the amount of bites to be cooked.
- In a small bowl, mix the honey with sesame seeds, chilli flakes, and 1 tablespoon of water.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Fry the halloumi slices for 1–2 minutes per side until golden. Drizzle or toss with the honey mixture to coat evenly.
- Place the crispy hash browns in a bowl, top with smashed avocado, glazed halloumi, and a sprinkle of coriander. Serve immediately.
- If opting for the Pizza style toppings, cook the Hash Brown Bites as instructed above. While the bites cook, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over low heat until warmed through.
- Pan-fry the mini pepperoni for 2–3 minutes until slightly crisp around the edges.
- Add the cooked hash browns to a bowl, spoon over the warm marinara sauce, sprinkle with mozzarella, and top with the crispy pepperoni. Serve while hot for that melty, pizza-style finish.
