Salt & Chilli Corn on the Cob

Try this Chinese style twist with our Mini Corn on the Cobs, this salt and chilli recipe adds an extra kick. Perfect served as a side dish or snack.


1 x bag Green Isle Corn on the Cob

1 tablespoon sea salt

1 tablespoon cracked black pepper

1 teaspoon chinese 5 spice

2 tablespoons grapeseed oil / or any other neutral oil

2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced

1 long red chilli, thinly sliced

3 spring onions, sliced

1 bunch fresh coriander, leaves only


  1. Place the required amount of Green Isle Mini Corn Cobs into boiling water. Cover, bring back to the boil and simmer for 6-7 minutes. Alternatively, you can also steam the corn if you prefer.
  2. Add sesame oil to wok and toss corn until golden, remove from wok
  3. Add garlic, red chilli, spring onion, salt, pepper and 5 spice and toss for 30 seconds, add corn back in and toss to coat then throw in coriander and serve.
