These instructions are guidelines only as cooking appliances vary. Remove all packaging before cooking. For best results cook from frozen. This product must be cooked thoroughly. Always check the product is piping hot before serving.
Place 375g (1/2 of packet) of Green Isle Mushy Peas in a saucepan and add 500ml of water. Bring to boil slowly, reduce heat and simmer gently for 20-30 mins stirring occasionally. If necessary add more boiling water towards the end of cooking to get the consistency required.
If you prefer a mushier pea, a pinch of Bicarbonate of Soda may be added.
Note: When cooked as instructed, 375g of frozen peas gives you the equivalent of 570g of Mushy Peas, approximately 4 portions.
