Rustic Chips with Chip Shop Battered Cod Burger

Bring the chipper home with this ultimate comfort food combo. Enjoy our Green Isle Rustic Chips skin-on, golden, and air-fried to crispy perfection, paired with hearty chip shop-style cod burgers made using Donegal Catch Extra Large Battered Cod Fillets. This recipe stacks all the flavours of a classic fish supper into a satisfying burger format. Complete with fresh toppings and a punchy homemade remoulade sauce, it’s the perfect weekend fakeaway.

Ingredients

  • (1 Pack) Use 600g Green Isle Rustic Chips (air-fried)
  • 2 Pack(s) Donegal Catch Chip Shop Battered Cod Extra Large Fillets (air-fried)
  • 4 Tortilla Wraps (8-inch)
  • 150g Shredded Lettuce
  • 120g Ballymaloe Tomato Relish
  • 4 tbsp Mayonnaise

Method:  

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C. Cook Donegal Catch Chip Shop Battered Cod Fillets for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Ensure to turn them halfway through the cooking process.
  2. Once cooked, remove the fish from the air fryer and slice each fillet in half.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C. Cook Green Isle Rustic Chips for 8 minutes or until crisp and golden, shake occasionally to ensure an even cook.
  4. Remoulade Sauce: Serve In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice and chopped pickles. Add paprika, salt and pepper.
  5. Slice tomato and toast brioche buns until golden.
  6. Spread remoulade sauce on bottom bun, layer with lettuce leaves, 2 slices of tomato, 2 pickle slices and 1 Battered Cod Fillet (cut in half) per burger.
