Garden Pea Hummus

Light, fresh, and full of flavour — this Garden Pea Hummus is the perfect summer side. Made with Green Isle Garden Peas, picked at their peak and frozen to lock in all the natural sweetness and nutrients, it’s a vibrant twist on a classic dip. A source of folic acid and fibre, it’s ideal for sharing with crunchy crudités or warm pita on sunny days.

Ingredients:

  • 225g Green Isle Garden Peas
  • 400g tin of chickpeas
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper

Serve with:

  • Pita bread
  • Crudités (carrot, radish, cucumber, bell pepper)

Method:  

  1. Boil peas for 3–4 minutes
  2. Drain, rinse in cold water, and drain again
  3. Place 200g peas in a food processor with other ingredients
  4. Blend until smooth
  5. Serve with olive oil and remaining peas
